See The North The Easy Way

The old way to reach Skardu and Hunza meant two long days on the Karakoram Highway each way. Beautiful, but it eats half your holiday. Flying in changes everything. You land in the mountains, spend your days exploring instead of driving, and see far more in the same time.

These are private tours, so the trip moves at your pace, not a fixed group’s. Choose 5 days for Skardu, or 8 days to combine Skardu and Hunza. Both include your flights, hotels, private transport, the 4×4 jeep for off road sections, and daily breakfast. You just travel.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the flight to Skardu?

The domestic flight from Islamabad to Skardu takes roughly one hour, compared with two days by road on the Karakoram Highway. It is one of the most scenic short flights anywhere, passing Nanga Parbat on a clear day.

Both packages include return air tickets to the north, hotels on twin sharing, private transport, a 4×4 jeep for off road sections, daily breakfast, a licensed local guide and 24/7 support. International flights, lunch, dinner and personal expenses are not included.

The 5 day Skardu By Air trip covers Baltistan: Manthokha Waterfall, Kachura Lakes, the Sarfaranga Cold Desert, Basho Valley and Khaplu. The 8 day trip adds Hunza Valley, the Karakoram Highway, Baltit and Altit Forts, and Attabad Lake, with an optional trip to the Khunjerab Pass.

Flights to Skardu are weather dependent and can be delayed. Every itinerary we build includes a road contingency, so if a flight is cancelled your trip continues by private vehicle rather than being lost.

They are fully private. The trip runs on your schedule with your own vehicle and guide, and the itinerary can be customised to your dates, pace and interests.

The season runs roughly from April to October. September and October give the clearest mountain views and autumn colour, while summer is greenest and best for the high passes like Khunjerab.
